SOS Children Villages of Pakistan is affiliated with the umbrella organization, SOS Children Villages International, with its head office in Innsbruck, Austria. It is one of 133 members associations in different countries, most of them being in Asia, Africa and South America. SOS Children Villages is the largest children welfare organization in the world and has, to date, established over 1500 projects, including schools, medical centers, agriculture projects, vocational training centers. National associations are affiliated with SOS international for the purpose of furthering the movement and co-ordination of activities. Each SOS Children Villages association is independent in its own country and consists of local members to run the affairs of the organizations.
